INSTALLING THE SQL-SYNC OPTION |

The Parklane Web Framework is a set of services (Apache,
MySQL, PHP) used to Build and Maintain the SQL-Sync Database
·
The Web Framework is installed on the SHARE server - not on
a user's workstation.
·
There are 2 versions of the Web Framework, Version 2 is used
for Windows 2003 systems and Version 3 is used for Windows 2008 (and newer)
systems

If you already have Parklane Web Forms, you already have the
Parklane Web Framework installed, then you can skip step 1
·
You can Download the Web Framework by launching one of the
following:

Step 1.
Run the Installer
It is recommended
that the Web Framework is installed on the same server as the Parklane Server.
The Web Framework
will set up a web service on Port 80 and 443 to build and maintain the
database.
If this server is
shared with third party applications and web services, you can configure the
Parklane Web Framework to use an alternate port number

Launch the ParklaneWebFramework.exe Installer
2.
On the Introduction click Next
3.
Choose the location where the application files will be
installed
Click Next
4.
Choose the Data directory - This will be the location where
the Database and logs will be stored.
Click Next
5.
Leave all the components checked
Click Next
6.
The MySQL Database system requires a root password for administration.
This password is required in order to build the database.
You can choose to keep the randomly-generated password, or you can set your own
password.
NOTE: It is important you remember this password for future administration.
Click Next
7.
Leave as 3306
Click Next
8.
The Web Service is required for the database build and
maintenance operations.
If you have other third-party web servers running on this system, you can
change these port numbers.
Click Next
9.
A summary of the install operations is presented.
Click Install

Build the SQL-Sync database
Now that the Web
Framework is installed, the SQL Sync database needs to be built.
