Setup ODBC Data Source for MySQL 8.0 on Parklane SERVER

Only run directly on your Parklane Server, to setup the data source: PDBSYNC

Default: Install the MySQL ODBC driver below, used by the Parklane Application.

· Default: Use this ODBC driver for MySQL Server 8.0.

· Run the installer once: Parklane-MySync8-Server-Silent.exe

This will create a System DSN named: PDBSYNC

Alternate: Manual install for the MySQL ODBC driver.

· Run the installer once: Parklane-MySync8-Server.exe

On the introduction, Accept the License agreement. Click Next

· Click Next

· Optionally: (for Custom install only)

· Confirm options and click Install

· Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable is required by the MySQL Driver

· Wait for the driver installer to be completed.

· Click Finish

· On completion, the System DSN: PDBSYNC, is created automatically.

Verify the MySQL driver ODBC data source

· The ODBC Data Source Administrator (32-bit) will open automatically after the install.

Select tab System DSN.
Select the PDBSYNC driver as shown.

· Click Configure to check the connection details
Click Test

· The test must be successful for SQL-Sync updates to work.

Click Ok.

The ODBC driver setup is now complete.
